Morgan Aguilar is a reporter at KOB4 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She grew up in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she received her B.S. in Broadcast News.
Morgan started at KOB as a morning producer before transitioning to reporting. She came to KOB from KLEW in Lewiston, Idaho. There she was in charge of producing the 5, 6, and 11 PM newscasts, as well as solo-anchoring the 11 PM. She also filled in as a reporter, from breaking news like house fires and car accidents, to interviewing the popular country music duo The Swon Brothers.
During the summer of 2012, Morgan was accepted out of a national competition to be a student journalist for the UNITY News Conference in Las Vegas. Over five days she produced a news package, wrote stories for print and the web, took photos for the website, and anchored a newscast.
Morgan has put together packages as a solo journalist using her abilities in writing, reporting, shooting and editing. She spent one semester as a part of NewsTeam Boulder, the campus student-produced newscast where she first learned to write, produce, direct, anchor, shoot video and report.
Morgan interned with the news department at KUSA in Denver during the Spring of 2013. She wrote for the web and broadcast, in addition to researching for the investigative unit. Her first internship was with KHQ in Spokane, Washington during the summer of 2011. She wrote copy for the anchors, shadowed several reporters and put together her own news package. She also conducted interviews at a local youth Special Olympics event.
When not working, Morgan enjoys skiing, hiking, listening to country music and spending time with friends and family.
